Fastening material for tackers with nails on strip
Pneumatic nailers loaded with strip nails use nails connected via a strip. However, not every strip nail tacker is suitable for all types of strips. Therefore, consult the product description for the correct combination. There are three types of connections:
- Wire welded: most common and produces no waste, but not suitable for every coating
- Plastic bonded: suitable for any type of material, but leaves plastic waste
- Paper-bound: ecologically conscious option, but less resistant to damp situations
The different shapes of the nail shaft
The nail shaft is a crucial element for bond strength and can take various shapes, including smooth, spiral, ringed or screwed. Each form has its own advantages and disadvantages and it is good to take this into account. This makes the smooth shaft a cost-effective choice. This nail shank provides basic bonding power, but is not as strong as the other options. For example, the structure of the spiral shaft increases the bonding force by wrapping wood fibers. Finally, ring shanks and screw shanks offer even more adhesive power, but the price is higher and they require more impact force.
